Under the motto ‘share and borrow instead of buying’, Vonovia and kolula are piloting product rentals via digital sharing boxes at two locations in Dortmund. In the Insterburger Siedlung and Kreuzviertel neighbourhoods, residents can book tools, household appliances and leisure items via app and pick them up from the sharing box. The system is modular and can be extended to further use cases.
With unmanned, fully digital rental stations for stand-up paddleboards, kolula is a pioneer of automated sports equipment rental. Our purpose-built stations operate successfully in three European countries. The proven system has put more than 40,000 happy customers on the water and serves as a blueprint for many similar concepts.
